Our 6-step carpet cleaning process

1. Pre-inspection & fibre test

We inspect fibre type, colourfastness, dye-bleed risk and weave. For hand-knotted Persian, Kashmiri and silk rugs this step is non-negotiable — the wrong chemical on silk causes permanent damage. We do a small colourfast test in a discreet corner before any solution touches the main carpet.

2. Dry vacuuming

A HEPA-filter vacuum lifts out loose dust, pet hair, and the Aravalli-belt dust specific to Gurgaon. For long-pile Persian and shaggy rugs, we use a dual-rotation tool that agitates the pile from the base.

3. Stain pre-treatment

Targeted spotting agents for wine, oil, pet urine, ink and mehendi. We use Diversey-grade low-pH chemicals that are safe for wool and silk, not the cheaper alkaline washes that strip natural fibres.

4. Wash — method chosen by carpet type

Synthetic: machine shampoo with 3M pads on single-disc scrubbing machine, followed by wet-vac extraction.
Wool & hand-knotted: low-moisture hand wash with colour-lock agents, no spinning machine.
Silk: dry-compound cleaning only — never wet-washed at customer site.

5. Deodorise & groom

A neutralising deodoriser kills residual bacteria. Pile is hand-groomed to restore direction and lustre — especially important on Persian rugs where uneven pile shows up immediately when dry.

6. Scotchgard protection (optional)

We apply 3M Scotchgard or equivalent fluoropolymer stain-protection on request. It repels coffee, wine and oil for 12–18 months and makes future cleaning significantly easier. Recommended for high-traffic living rooms, kids’ play areas, and dining spaces.
